Men in Kilts could soon be cleaning your windows in Aberdeen, Elgin and Inverness.
The Canadian window-cleaning business is enjoying phenomenal growth across the Atlantic, and its founders want to expand the franchise operation to Scotland.
Nic Brand, whose father, John, hails from Aberdeen, launched Men in Kilts in Vancouver in 2012.
By 2009, it was bringing in annual revenue of more than £500,000 as householders – particularly women – quickly latched on to the novel idea of a kilted window cleaner.
Franchising entrepreneur Tressa Wood was recruited as chief executive, and the business now has operations in 10 cities across Canada and the US.
Dozens more locations in North America are being targeted, and the founders are looking for expansion opportunities overseas.
Scotland was an obvious location and Mr Brand is currently working on plans to bring Men in Kilts, including its “No Peeking” logo t-shirts, to towns and cities on this side of the Atlantic.
To spare any embarrassment in a sudden gust of wind, the window cleaners have weights sewn around their kilt hems.
