Information technology software and services firm Adept Solutions said yesterday it was enjoying rapid growth in west Africa, helped by three oil industry contracts worth a total of £1.5million.
Adept’s Axis hydrocarbon accounting system is used by operators to provide production data to government, partners and internal consumers.
It is now to be used for work being carried out for the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, Seplat Petroleum and Tullow Oil.
“The securing of the work caps an extremely successful period for Adept in West Africa,” the Aberdeen firm said.
Managing director Richard Alderson added: “The region’s oil and gas industry is undergoing a period of rapid change, with new fields being developed and the operatorship of existing assets changing hands.
“This affects the management of production information and the implementation of allocation agreements, which is where our products and services bring real benefits to operators.”
