Moray telecommunications business Netdatatel has been snapped up by an English IT firm for an undisclosed sum.
The firm, which has offices in Elgin, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Manchester, was acquired by Alderley Edge-based Chess Telecom, which employs 250 people.
Chief executive Stewart Macdonald, who owns a controlling stake in the firm, said: “When Chess approached us with the idea of acquiring our business and talked us through their strategy and acquisition process it became clear that they were the right business to take over the reins.
“Chess has a proven track record at making successful acquisitions, we knew this flexible deal would give us the best value for us, and more importantly, our customers. I am very confident the transition will be a smooth one and our customers will be more than satisfied.”
The firm employs ten people and was set up in 2010.
