New boss for Aberdeenshire firm QuEnSH

Tracie Watson
Tracie Watson

North-east businesswoman Tracie Watson has joined Foveran-based health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) firm QuEnSH Specialists as its first managing director.

Ms Watson was previously MD at international health and safety consultant Cresent, of Westhill, where she oversaw the growth of the business over a period of 25 years.

QuEnSH – owned by Andrew Bruce, Robert Forbes and Donna Hutchison – helps businesses and other organisations manage their assurance activities.

It said Ms Watson had been appointed to guide it through a planned period of international growth and development.

Ms Hutchison, the firm’s founder and operations director, added: “QuEnSH has experienced a very successful period of growth over a number of years and the time is right for us to take a more strategic view of future development.

“A managing director of Tracie’s calibre will enable QuEnSH to internationalise and also help us to expand our service portfolio to our current client base.”

Mr Watson said: “At a time when many firms with a strong customer base in oil and gas are not experiencing growth, QuEnSH continues to develop as either a supplement or a support to HSSEQ teams which need additional resource or specific skill sets, or for SMEs (small and medium-zed enterprises) which have no dedicated HSSEQ department.

“We are already operating globally including in the Middle East and Asia, but my challenge at QuEnSH will be to plan for future growth not only in the UK but in further international regions and to grow and develop the brand awareness in our target markets.”
