Friday is the last chance for businesses in the Highlands and Islands to enter a prestigious annual awards ceremony.
Hundreds of regional business leaders have bought tickets to the sold out SCDI Highlands and Islands Dinner and Business Excellence Awards in Inverness in September.
But hopefuls must get applications, which can be made online, submitted by 31 July in order to have their achievements recognised.
Deputy first minister John Swinney will be delivering the keynote speech at the event, while diners will also be entertained by comedian Ed Byrne.
The eight awards
- Benromach Award for Excellence in International Business
- The Crown Estate Award for Excellence in a Marine Business,
- The Business Direct Award for Excellence in Business Service & Engagement,
- The Highlands and Islands Enterprise Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation,
- The Royal Bank of Scotland Award for Outstanding Business Ambassador,
- The Scottish Environment Protection Agency Award for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability,
- The University of the Highlands and Islands Award for Excellence in People Development
- The SCDI Highlands & Islands Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Business Achievement.
Fraser Grieve, SCDI’s Highlands and islands director said: “With the deadline for entries to this year’s SCDI Highlands and Islands Awards fast approaching, this is the last opportunity for businesses and organisations from across the region to apply.
“These awards are a showcase for the talent, ingenuity and success of the region’s outstanding companies and I would urge businesses of all sizes to put their names forward so that their contribution can be recognised.”
