A fledgling Aberdeen IT firm is on track to reach the £500,000 turnover mark after winning new business from oil and gas firms looking to cut costs, it said.
Core 29, which was set up in 2012 by director Sarah Forbes, said business would grow 50% in its current financial year after contracts with Ashtead Technology, Peterson, PD&MS and Qinterra Technologies have led to new business leads.
The consultancy says it has helped organisations to boost profit margins by improving operational efficiency through better use of IT systems.
Ms Forbes said: “With the industry focused on efficiency there are huge opportunities for companies like us who can demonstrate immediate, tangible results.
“We now have a track record of delivering improvements achieving a return of more than three times their initial investment, through process optimisation and efficiency gains – this is very appealing to oilfield services companies looking to deliver efficiency and add value.”
Projects delivered by Core29 include the creation of a paperless cargo management and reporting application, online customer service portals, and transitioning between outdated data and communications processes to more efficient, easier-to-manage systems.
