An IT firm specialising on offering “remote helpdesk” services has recruited franchisees to open two offices in Aberdeenshire and Inverness.
Pisys.net, which started as the IT support division of Aberdeen-based control room software firm Pisys, has launched two new franchises – Pisys.net Aberdeenshire and Pisys.net Highland – after the success of its Aberdeen operation which opened in 2009.
Pisys.net Aberdeenshire will be headed up by Bruce Skinner, Andrew Mein and Peter Henderson who have over 50 years of IT experience between them.
Pisys.net Highland will serve businesses from AB54 westwards through Elgin and Nairn and will have its main office in Inverness.
Its Managing Director, Andrew Kings, comes to the business with significant experience in successful technology start-ups and as a director of Pisys Marine, a well-established marine data services company.
Mr Kings is joined by fellow directors Helen Kings, a marketing specialist and Jonathan Shapiro as non-executive director.
He said: “This is an exciting venture for many reasons, not least because now more than ever there is a real sense of optimism among the business community in the Highlands.
“Inverness itself has an expanding and a diverse economy which has blossomed over recent years and I am keen to contribute to that success story.”
Steve Bain, director of Pisys.net, said he was delighted to see the Pisys.net brand extend its reach and is pleased that franchisees are taking up the opportunities offered to them with such enthusiasm.
“It is great to see the Pisys.net service being offered across such a broad sweep of Scotland and I wish Bruce and Andrew every success. Our aim is to provide the service across the whole of the UK in the next few years and this is an exciting next step for us.”
