Diversification is the theme of this week’s upcoming exhibition aimed at the region’s business sector.
The fifth annual Granite Expo business showcase event, which takes place tomorrow, will bring together a diverse range of more than 100 business organisations representing many sectors, from locally-based SMEs to global operators with links to the region.
Brett Jackson, the creator of Granite Expo and founder of public relations firm Granite PR said: “Granite Expo is an excellent example of diversification, and the wide range of industries represented shows the wealth and richness with exists within the north-east business community.
“In our experience, there has been much to be gained from adding value in the energy sector whilst simultaneously diversifying into other areas such as health, food and drink, hospitality and professional services.
“There is no doubt that a platform such as Granite Expo underlines this company ethos and opens up benefits to others who are also setting their sights on growth.
“In addition, the event provides a valuable opportunity to condense weeks of networking into a single day and we look forward to welcoming delegates and helping them to maximise the opportunities on offer.”
Granite Expo is a free event which offers a giant day of exhibiting, cross-selling, networking and knowledge sharing as well as business seminars and a prize draw. This year’s event will be officially opened by DC Thomson’s sommercial director, Denise West.
The event takes place at the city’s Hilton Treetops Hotel Thursday, October 29th.
