Aberdeen businesswoman Jeanette Forbes was crowned inspirational woman of the year at inaugural awards in Glasgow.
Ms Forbes, chief executive of Granite City information technology (IT) firm PCL Group, received her prestigious honour at the first Business Women Scotland Awards.
Women entrepreneurs across the country had their achievements celebrated in style.
Margaret Gibson from Women’s Enterprise Scotland helped pick the finalists, with judges Marie Macklin and Lesley Sawers given the hard task of choosing the winners.
Ms Gibson said: “It was fantastic to see so many different types of business, new and old, started by women throughout Scotland.
“There were some interesting ideas with a positive outlook for future growth, which is great for Scotland’s economy.”
Other winners includes Jennifer Hallwood of Highland firm Tefl UK, who came away with the accolade for digital business of the year.
Ms Forbes founded PCL Group, which provides a range of IT, telecoms and computer services to the offshore, marine, commercial, industrial and renewable sectors, in 2000.
