Johnston Carmichael (JC) unveiled four new additions to its senior team management line-up yesterday, including one in its home city of Aberdeen.
Scotland’s largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers said the appointments were part of its growth strategy across Scotland.
In the tax team, Alex Docherty in the firm’s Edinburgh office and John McAuslin – based in Glasgow – have been promoted to the position of partner.
Aberdeen-based Stephen McIlwaine and Paul Cochrane in Glasgow are now directors in the audit and tax departments respectively.
Chief executive Sandy Manson said: “Rewarding our people for the significant contributions they make to the business demonstrates the emphasis Johnston Carmichael places on career development.
“These well-deserved promotions recognise the hard work and dedication shown by each individual.
“I have no doubt that our new partners and directors will play a major role in the future success of our business.”
The promotions bring the total number of partners at JC, which employs 630 people in 11 locations throughout Scotland, up to 58.
Mr McIlwaine joined the firm in 2011, having previously been with “big four” accountancy practices in the Channel Islands and, more recently, Aberdeen.
