Scottish public relations firm The Big Partnership has been sold in an £11million deal by founders Alex Barr and Neil Gibson.
The pair founded the firm in 2000 and built into one of the UK’s largest PR and digital marketing agencies with a turnover of more than £8million and workforce of 115 across five offices.
The agreement to sell the firm to six fellow board members places the Neil and Alex’s share of the business at more than £4million each.
They are understood to own 40% of the business each after buying out co-founder Graham Isdale in 2005.
The company made operating profits of £1.3m on a turnover of £8.3million in the year up to May 2015.
It is reported that Zoe Ogilvie, who heads up the Aberdeen office of the firm, is part of the management buy-out team.
