Communications agency Citrus:Mix has acquired the emergency response (ER) division of fellow Aberdeen firm Mearns and Gill for an undisclosed sum.
The deal includes the transfer of two staff members to Citrus:Mix and adds five North Sea oil and gas operators to its existing portfolio of energy industry clients.
Citrus:Mix managing director Paul Smith said: “This adds to the expertise and experience we have in-house as well as highlighting our commitment to oil and gas clients, both existing and new.
“With the team providing ER services to operators with a range of North Sea assets, this represents a significant deal for us and supports the development of our own longstanding work in that sphere.
Mearns & Gill managing director Michael Wilson said: “We are now firmly focused on providing integrated and creative marketing solutions for our clients in brand, digital, print and event management, while the former ER division is in good hands with Citrus:Mix.”
Part of the Jasmine Holdings group of companies, Citrus:Mix was founded in 2012 through the merger of through the merger of public relations specialist Mackenzie PR and creative marketing agency Covey McCormick.
