Access to government help for small businesses, advice on how to avoid insolvency and rebuilding are some of the topics to be discussed in a virtual version of the Business Women Scotland (BWS) Roadshow.
BWS will be screening its event next Friday on YouTube.
The usual one-day roadshow format for women in business or those thinking of starting up has been changed to help people tackle some of the challenges posed by the current climate.
Lynne Kennedy, who founded BWS 11 years ago to help businesswomen find support and networking opportunities, said: “No one has experienced anything like the current crisis affecting global markets but some of our speakers have been through the 2008 financial crisis and came out the other end.
“They have solid advice that will get us all through the next few months.”
Among the speakers are Tricia Halliday, director of chartered accountants Martin Aitken, who will focus on advice for struggling businesses, leadership coach Kirsty Mac, and Susie Fraser, managing director of digital marketing agency Adeo.
A panel of experts including Yvonne Greeves, head of women in banking at Royal Bank of Scotland, executive coach and mentor June Walker and Michelle Ferguson, director of Scotland’s Bravest Manufacturing Company, will answer questions that have been sent in.
