Bidwells is hoping its new look will entice more property investors to “alternative” opportunities in Scotland’s forestry, renewable-energy and agriculture sectors.
The firm’s new logo features a triangle to reflect its three key markets north of the border.
But the same design is also being used to highlight – amid a “period of uncertainty” – the potentially lucrative investment returns to be made inside the London, Oxford and Cambridge “golden triangle”, an area which accounts for more than 80% of the group’s overall business.
Bidwells’ property consultancy services are delivered through 13 offices around the UK, including Scottish branches in Aberdeen, Inverness, Fort William and Perth.
The office in Carden Place, Aberdeen, is led by partner Andrew Robertson and provides support for commercial, rural, forestry and residential property.
Bidwells stressed it remained committed to its “recognised strong market presence within the rural, forestry and renewables sectors”, for which it manages thousands of square miles of countryside and coastline.
Senior partner Patrick McMahon said: “For generations, we’ve been helping investors, developers, occupiers, housebuilders and homeowners to harness the benefits of the exceptional growth in the golden triangle, an area which represents 44% of all real estate activity in the UK.
“In a period of uncertainty for global real estate markets, the golden triangle stands out as an area of opportunity.”
Finlay Clark, managing partner of Bidwells in Scotland, added: “Bidwells is one of the leading consultancies in the high-growth forestry, renewables, and agriculture sectors.
“These markets have consistently outperformed equities and bonds in recent years and are of significant interest to UK and overseas investors.
“We’ll be using our rebrand as an opportunity to highlight the exceptional returns that clients can achieve by investing in these alternative asset classes.”
Bidwells, founded in 1839, employs about 500 people and manages property assets worth more than £5.2million.
It is one of the leading consultancies in high-growth forestry, renewables, and agriculture markets which have consistently outperformed equities and bonds in recent years.
The company’s clients include some of the best-known colleges in Oxford and Cambridge which just happen to also be among the biggest landowners in the UK.
