‘Tis the season for carols and cheer, and you’ll find it all at the 2022 Evening Express Christmas Concert. Tickets go on sale today, so keep reading to find out all you need to know to book your spot.
After more than 50 years on stage, this year’s concert promises to be the biggest ever. More than 700 young people from 23 schools are set to perform, and our local stars are already warming up for the big night.
Beginning Friday, November 11 at 10 am, you can get your tickets online via the P&J Live events page. There are two shows on Sunday, December 11 at 2 pm and 7 pm.
All tickets are general admission, so no need to worry about booking specific seats. Show up on time on the day to secure your spot for acoustical perfection.
Tickets run at £15 and £10 for concessions. With booking fees, they’ll come closer to £16.50 and £11, respectively. All proceeds will go to the Evening Express Pounds for Primary initiative to benefit local schools.
Evening Express Christmas Concert a perfect capstone for 2022
Show sponsors International School Aberdeen (ISA) will be sending their own choir to perform on December 11. Head of School Nick Little said that the Christmas concert will be a fitting end to the season as the school celebrates its 50th year.
“We are marking 50 years since we first opened our doors and it’s been wonderful to see the excitement building within the school.
“We are immensely proud of our homegrown roots and our heritage in Aberdeen and we are very much looking forward to playing our part in the city’s festive musical programme and to showcasing our students’ musical talent on the public stage.”
Star-studded lineup
This year marks the second time that the show will take place at P&J Live, and with 23 schools across two different showtimes, showrunners and audience members will be glad for all the extra space.
