An Aberdeen university student is fighting for her life in an Spanish hospital after falling 30 feet from a second-floor apartment balcony.
Kanza Rehman, 21, who is a student at Robert Gordon University, is being treated for severe head injuries after the fall from an apartment building in San Antonio, Ibiza, early this morning.
Police are currently investigating the incident but initial inquiries point to the incident being an accident.
Ms Rehman was taken to the island’s main Can Misses hospital before later being flown by ambulance plane to Palma, Majorca, where she remains in intensive care at the Son Espases hospital in the Balearic Islands’ capital.
A spokesman at the regional headquarters of the paramilitary Civil Guard said:ӉA 21-year-old British woman has been taken to hospital after plunging from a second-floor balcony in San Antonio, Ibiza.
âWe are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. Everything points to an accident.
“She was transfered to Palma because of the gravity of her injuries.”
