Painting students from Aberdeen have been given the chance to showcase their works in Scotland’s capital.
A total of 23 final year students currently studying at Gray’s School of Art have organised an exhibition in Edinburgh which will open on Sunday.
For a large number of the students, the event at St Margaret House will mark the first time their artwork has been put on public display.
It will allow them the opportunity to fine-tune their pieces ahead of the Robert Gordon University Degree Show in June.
Hannah Stirling, one of the students organising the showcase, said: “The interim exhibition that we hold each year in Edinburgh allows us to spread the word about the painting course at Gray’s outside of Aberdeen.
“For many of us it is our first opportunity to take part in a formal exhibition and we organise everything ourselves.
“This has proven to be a challenge on top of our already demanding course, but one from which we have already learnt a great deal.
“It’s great at this stage to get our work out of the studio.
“Seeing it in a gallery space allows us to see it with fresh eyes, which is especially valuable before our Degree Show.”
The exhibition at St Margaret House opens on Sunday and will run from 10am to 6pm daily until Saturday, March 10.
