Jo Strathdee seems comfortable dealing with stress or having the weight of the world on her shoulders.
And now, the 24-year-old from Keith has graduated from Aberdeen University with a first-class masters in Arts with Psychology.
She initially spent two years as a primary school teacher before deciding to embark on a career in a different field.
The Moray graduate is particularly interested by stress management and the impact it can have on people’s lives.
She said: “I decided to study the course because I wanted to find out why we are the way we are and, further along the line, hopefully make a difference in the sector.
“I’m also currently studying a masters in health psychology, after which I’ll take a small break before getting started in the field.
“I would like to eventually focus on stress management, but I’d also love to do my stage two training to become a health psychologist – which can include a variety of things.
“Some work with people who might be experiencing chronic health conditions and help them adhere to medication, or help patients cope with treatment or fitness regimes.”
During her time at university, she also enjoyed great success within its Weightlifting Club, and competed in several competitions on behalf of the north-east.
Her impressive personal bests stand at a deadlift of 120kg, a squat lift of 95kg and a bench lift of 55kg.
