Olympic swimmer Hannah Miley will share inspirational stories on the “importance of determination” with students in Aberdeen.
The event has been arranged by Robert Gordon University as part of a series of talks which are designed to inspire students to become the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
Miss Miley, who is from Inverurie, represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games on three occasions and has won more than 50 medals from competitions all over the world – including gold at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Her talk will take place on Thursday, October 17, at RGU Sport, and is free for anyone to attend.
The north-east star, who won Scottish Sports Person of the Year in 2010, will talk about motivation, passion and pushing yourself forward to achieve success.
RGU’s professor Gordon McConnell said: “Hannah is a truly inspiring role model and her story is highly applicable to the world of innovation and entrepreneurship.
“People will gain valuable insight at this masterclass into what it takes to make dreams come true, whether that’s setting up your own business, completing a degree, or achieving career success.”
Miss Miley graduated from RGU in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sports and Exercise Science.
