A number of “enhanced hygiene arrangements” will be put in place ahead of Aberdeen University students returning next month.
The university has released a public contract looking for regular, ad-hoc and ongoing cleaning of various university properties – and are seeking Covid-19 related special cleaning.
Last night an Aberdeen University spokesman said it was part of a broad range of precautions to help students return safely in September.
He said: “Our campus planning group has been taking forward detailed work to ensure a safe return to our campuses for our staff and students, and this includes the provision of enhanced hygiene arrangements across our university estate.
“As part of this process we are inviting bids for enhanced cleaning services which will include solutions for Covid-19 related special cleaning measures for our domestic properties, which mostly house staff and postgraduate students.
“Similar enhanced cleaning arrangements are already in place for the remainder of our university estate.”
The arrangement will be in place for a total of 36 months.
