Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen has been ranked as the worst in Scotland.
The Times Higher Education World Rankings dropped the Granite City institution to the bottom of the pile for places to attend in 2021.
The list of the best universities in the UK, which includes institutions in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland comes out yearly and serves as a guide to prospective students.
Ranking joint 95th in the UK, alongside six other institutions from other nations, it left RGU as the lowest ranking university in Scotland.
Breaking down each university on their teaching, research, industry income, international outlook and other factors, Oxford University topped out both the UK and world rankings.
Aberdeen University managed to secure 25th in the UK and joint 178th in the world, which marks a slip from last years placing at 168th.
Further north, Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) came 49th in the nationwide rankings.
