Robert Gordon University’s (RGU) Careers and Employability Centre is holding its annual Autumn Careers Fair for students and recent graduates on Thursday, October 30 from 11am to 3pm at the Garthdee campus.
More than 60 companies from a wide range of sectors will be exhibiting at the fair, which provides students and graduates with a platform to meet and network with local, national and international graduate employers.
A major recruitment event in the university’s calendar for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and recent graduates, the fair aims to increase awareness of the vast range of graduate employment vacancies, training and work experience opportunities available, as well as offer advice on the type of talent recruiters are seeking and the application process.
Companies exhibiting range from oil and gas majors including Shell and BP, to technology giants such as Apple, niche services companies and not for profit organisations such as Cornerstone. The defence industry will also have a presence with Lockheed Martin UK exhibiting, as well as legal and financial sector firms including Anderson, Anderson & Brown.
Staff members from RGU’s Careers and Employability Centre will be present to offer advice and guidance, which is also available to students through ‘My Career Toolkit’, the university’s online careers education resource to support students prepare for employment.
