More than 600 students from across the University of the Highlands and Islands network recently gained an insight into the world of business and entrepreneurship during the week-long launch of the inaugural Highland Innovation Festival.
Organised by Create, the centre for enterprise and innovation at Inverness College UHI, the Highland Innovation Festival is a programme of events and workshops which aims to make enterprise and innovation an all-year-round fixture in the student calendar.
The week’s programme included audiences with well-known business people from around the Highlands and Islands who spoke to students about their experience as entrepreneurs.
Another highlight was the Engineering Your Future networking lunch and quiz, which gave students the chance to practise networking by dining with some of the region’s most prominent business people and energy industry professionals.
