It was a day of double celebrations for Kerry Williams yesterday – as she graduated from university just after landing her dream job.
The 21-year-old from Tore picked up a degree in physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University and will begin work at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness next month.
She will be no stranger to her new employees, having completed work placements there as part of her course.
She said: “I am delighted to graduate and get started with work.
“I’m glad the studying is over as I much prefer the practical side of it.
“Physiotherapy is such a flexible career choice so there are always options once you finish study.”
During her time at university she completed a variety of placements, including working as a physiotherapist with Aberdeenshire Rugby Club.
She said: “This was a great experience and different to many other university placements.”
And although she is getting ready to enter the world of work, she still found time to enjoy herself when university was finished.
She said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at RGU and once our final exams were finished I travelled around Eastern Europe with my friends in the class, which was a perfect was to finish our four years together.”
