Two Aberdeen nursing students have raised £3,360 for healthcare charities across Scotland by organising a hill climbing expedition.
Colin Cass and Zdenka Vlkova arranged the Red Rox 24 Hours Challenge, which involved trekking up Ben Nevis, Braeriach and Ben Macdui in one day.
Four teams took part and the money raised will be split among Elgin charity The Aila Coull Foundation, British Heart Foundation, Clan Cancer Support, Ward 7 at Dr Gray’s Hospital and British Red Cross.
Mr Cass said he hopes the event would be repeated in future years.
He said: “We are delighted that the Red Rox 24 Hour Challenge has helped to raise so much money for healthcare charities across Scotland and we hope to run it as an annual event in the years to come.”
