A north-east artist has returned from China to display work inspired by her time abroad.
Kate Downie graduated from the Gray’s School of Art in 1980 and will highlight her creations as part of Robert Gordon University’s shared vision project.
Her work, which includes drawings, paintings and experimental prints, will go on display in Aberdeen Business School on January 29.
Ms Downie said: “I have always been fascinated by Chinese ink painting and also, since childhood, by imagining myself on The Great Wall of China.
“I have fond memories of my time at Gray’s so I am looking forward to returning to Aberdeen.
“It will be good to exhibit within the excellent learning environment of Robert Gordon University as well as to see old friends and colleagues.”
The project is a combination of Scottish and Chinese ink paintings which will be on display in the business school until March 27.
