Staff at Aberdeen University are trying to contact relatives of the five men who died during a construction accident on its campus 50 years ago.
The workers lost their lives when the framework of the Zoology building collapsed on November 1, 1966.
The university is planning to hold a memorial service later this year and wants to get in touch with their relatives of those who perished.
Reverend Marylee Anderson, chaplain at Aberdeen University, said: “It has been 50 years since the Zoology building tragedy and the University wants to pay our respects to those who lost their lives in a manner which family and friends of the victims feel is appropriate.
“We are reaching out to family members of those who died, or anyone affected by the incident to get in touch with the university, so that we can plan a suitable memorial event.”
Anyone connected with the tragedy who would like to be involved in the memorial should get in touch with the university’s events team at events@abdn.ac.uk.
