Celebrating 30 years since their successful album, The Seer, and their Steeltown Tour, Big Country are taking to the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on Saturday. The album famously included an appearance by Kate Bush. The group will be playing their album in entirety – the catalogue of songs will blow the roof off the venue.
THEATRE Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off
Aberdeen Studio Theatre Group brings to the stage in ACT Aberdeen a play by renowned writer Liz Lochhead. Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off is considered one of Liz’s finest pieces and throws into question the parallels of the two queens. Tomorrow is your last chance to catch this play.
ART Mixed Exhibition at Newave
Continuing until November 8, Newave Gallery is hosting its latest mixed exhibition. Featuring works ranging from etching to oil paintings, the exhibition is by artists from around the UK and Poland, including recent Gray’s School of Art graduates.
NIGHTLIFE Benjamin Francis Leftwich
Benjamin is on his 2016 tour following his new album, After The Rain. His second album delves into acoustic folksy tunes and he will be taking his sound to the stage in Drummond’s, Aberdeen, Saturday.
TV Victoria
The Royal fiction based on the life of Queen Victoria has captured the hearts of its viewers. The show follows the first few years of Victoria’s reign and episode seven airs on Sunday at 9pm on ITV.

Sung in English, the Scottish Opera presents a cheeky and vividly characterised show. On at the Craigmonie Centre on October 6.
INVISIBLE ARMY
The play, by Victoria Beesley, is about being alone and making friends, starting fights and falling in love. They play is at Woodend Barn on October 15 and Eden Court on October 22.
