In just over four weeks’ time, Santa Claus will be delivering parcels around the world.
Before then, he’s scheduled in a pit stop at Dobbies Inverness, when he’ll be arriving at the store by reindeer-drawn sleigh this Sunday. Following a fun parade, Santa and his elves will say hello to visitors before heading to his grotto where little ones can meet the man himself.
Among the activities on offer, there will be real reindeer, live music and family entertainment. You’ll also have the chance to meet and take pictures with Dobbie, the over-sized reindeer character.
Laura Burton, community champion at Dobbies Inverness, said: “Santa’s arrival is one of the most exciting days of the year at Dobbies and it’s always lovely to see the amazement on the kids’ faces. There is a fantastic turnout every year and it’s always a really fun day, with the community coming together to celebrate the start of the festive season.”
Dobbies national Christmas charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust, will also take part in the parade and volunteers will be selling delicious cupcakes and charity stamps for your letters to Santa to raise money for the charity.
The event will take place at Dobbies Garden Centre, Inshes Retail Park, Inverness, at 11am on Sunday, November 20. Contact www.dobbies.com/whats-on
