He’s already appeared on TV’s Royal Variety Performance and the John Bishop Show, now Sam Wills, the performer known as Tape Face, is ready to entertain audiences in Aberdeen and Inverness next week.
The show is certainly different as it’s stand-up comedy with no talking, drama with no acting and punch lines with no words. Using everyday objects and popular songs, and drawing on a history of silent movies, mime, puppetry and magic, the audience is drawn into Sam’s comedy world which is unlike any other.
Having spent the last three years touring the world before returning to the UK, this year’s show promises to be a bigger, brighter and more spectacular re-imagining of his unique and special brand of silent comedy. Be warned though, he has a reputation for getting lots of members of the audience involved, but in the nicest and funniest way.
Previous shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe sold out four years in a row, and demand for these shows is expected to be high, so early booking is advised.
Tape Face is at the Lemon Tree, Aberdeen, on Monday November 21, and Tuesday, November 22, with shows at 8pm. Contact: 01224 641122. It’s at the Empire Theatre, Eden Court, on Wednesday, November 23, with a show at 7.30pm. Contact: 01463 234234.
