Comedian Russell Brand is set to perform in Aberdeen for the very first time.
He will play His Majesty’s on June 13 next year – and theatre bosses expect tickets to be snapped up quick.
His new UK show, titled Re:Birth, aims to show a new side to the funnyman since he became a father last year.
Announcing tour, Russell said: “How do we make sense of the madness of our lives once we become parents? What am I going to tell my daughter about conformity and responsibility?
“What happens if she grows up to be like me or, worse, dates someone like me.”
Ben Torrie, APA’s director of programming and creative projects said “Russell Brand is a unique performer and a fantastic entertainer – we’re sure North-east audiences will be excited to experience his intelligent, anarchic wit and energetic showmanship in Aberdeen for the first time.”
Tickets for Re:Birth go on sale to Friends of Aberdeen Performing Arts on Thursday, and to the general public next Friday.
