A north-east Hogmanay festival has confirmed a leading group will bring 2017 to an end.
Ellon Events has announced the Red Hot Chilli Pipers are extending their sell-out Scottish tour to finish on Hogmanay at Gig at the Brig.
A spokesman from the committee said: “We are absolutely delighted to have the Red Hot Chilli Pipers headlining our event this year.
“This will be the fifth anniversary of Gig at the Brig, which goes from strength to strength, becoming one of the best places in the north east to celebrate Hogmanay.
“This licensed event attracts up to 3000 people of all ages, and feedback from previous events was fantastic. It takes place close to the Auld Brig, in Ellon a magical back-drop for such an event.
Gig at the Brig will also feature a professional fireworks display at midnight and the local Ellon British Legion Pipe Band with traditional Scottish music.
A very limited number of tickets go on sale on Wednesday February, 8 at 8am from www.buytickets.at/ellonevents
