Join Aberdeen Science Centre on April 14, from 10am to 5pm, for an exciting day of discovery as they delve into the prehistoric and look at fossils, dinosaurs, and palaeontology.
With storytelling sessions, dino dig pits, dinosaur murals, fossil finding activities and the giants of the past show, discover how animals in the past lived.
While you’re in the centre you can make your own replica fossil in the hands-on workshops. You’ll also be able to meet expert palaeontologists and show them your fossils – they can also identify fossils you bring from home.
At 11am and 2pm there will also be a TED talk screening and live Q&A with Ken Lacovara, the dino man. He’ll tell you how hunting for dinosaurs showed him his place in the universe.
Normal entry prices apply. This is a drop-in day so there’s no need to book. Shows, sessions and workshops will be run throughout the day. More details are available at
