Scottish cycling legend, Graeme Obree, is coming to Aberdeen to host a special evening to entertain his fans.
The record-breaking competitor, known as the Flying Scotsman, will regale his audience with stories of his serried cycling career, during a special function at Aberdeen Central Library on Thursday, May 25.
The talk will begin at 5.30pm where the cyclist will go into detail about some of his most exhilarating experiences, including breaking the world hour record and entering sporting lore.
The event, which is free and part of the city’s Tour Series celebrations, will also feature his homemade “Beastie” bike, which he used to shatter the world record for the fastest human powered vehicle in a prone position in September 2013.
Mr Obree said: “I am really looking forward to my trip to Aberdeen and sharing some insight and a few stories from my cycling career.
“It sounds as if the city is really embracing the visit of The Tour Series and I am sure it will be a great evening’s racing which will help to inspire more people onto their bikes to experience the freedom and exhilaration of cycling.”
Tickets for an evening with Mr Obree can be booked at libraryevents@aberdeencity.gov.uk or by calling 01224 652500.
