The grounds of a stunning Aberdeenshire attraction will be transformed into a vibrant music festival for all the family next weekend.
The fourth Pitmedden Music Festival takes place at the National Trust for Scotland’s Pitmedden Garden and promises something for everyone with a plethora of live music and entertainment.
There will be food, a beer, cider and wine tent, bouncy castles, and a host of other entertainment from dance workshops to magic shows.
Angie Stemp, festival director, said: “We have had very successful events over the last few years, and had over 1,800 people enjoying music over the weekends.
“We have another great programme of music and entertainment planned this year with something for everyone.”
The festival runs from Friday, June 2 to Saturday, June 3.
The more adventurous visitors will be able to camp overnight in a field next to the site at Pitmedden Estate, with its woodland walks and close proximity to Pitmedden village.
The proceedings kick off on Friday, June 2 at 6pm with the Ellon Pipe Band, melodic pop from local girl Cara Ross, stomping Americana with Broken Rivers and the evening ends with the award-winning Smokin’ Bugler Band.
Saturday commences with the ‘Druminaboot’ an African drum group, and continues with a variety of performers both in the main marquee and in the grounds of Pitmedden Garden.
On Saturday evening, there is a family ceilidh, followed by Aberdeen mod tribute band Target 5 and Aberdeen rock folk band The Lorelei.
The festival, which is being entirely organised by volunteers has been made possible through grants and sponsorship including the Udny Community Wind Turbine and Precision Pumping.
Ticket prices start at £7.50, while children’s activities are free. They are available locally and from the Aberdeen Box Office.
