Ecclesgreig Castle and grounds have an ancient history for visitors to explore this Sunday.
It was the site of a Pictish monastery eighth century AD and the present castle is built on a 16th century core.
Search the ground for the well of St Cyrus, a medieval hermit, and wander the paths that meander round the castle and along woodland paths, imagining Bram Stoker visiting and using Ecclesgreig as an inspiration for his book Dracula.
In the Italian balustraded gardens there is a 140 foot long herbaceous border, classical statues and stunning topiary and there are beautiful sea views across St Cyrus.
Started as a derelict site Gavin Farquhar has worked passionately to bring it back to its present state and work continues.
Head to the castle on Sunday for to explore and enjoy the plant stall and some teas, from 1pm to 5pm. Tickets are £4, children are free and there is partial disabled access.
