If you’re quick off the mark you’ll still have time to catch MamaBabaMe – a new dance, theatre and live music experience made especially for infants and their grown ups which is taking place at 11.30am and 2.30pm today, June 15, at Forres Town Hall.
Through movement, dance and sound, the show explores new relationships and eternal bonds and audience members are encouraged to recognise something of their own relationships, as parent or child. Back at the regular venue of the Universal Hall, Findhorn, Saturday night’s show is, Sing Sistah Sing, the first work from internationally renowned Mezzo Soprano Andrea Baker, who is accompanied by pianist Richard Lewis. The show celebrates the extraordinary breadth of the African American female voice including those of Leontyne Price, Nina Simone and the great Billie Holiday and is a mix of storytelling and music.
