A brand new beer, gin and music festival will take place in Aberdeen later this year.
The inaugural Sessions Festival will go ahead in Hazlehead Park over two days beginning on Friday, August 4.
So far music acts who have signed up to perform include The Banjo Lounge 4, Dope Sick Fly, The Smokin’ Bugler Band as well as SUPA & Da Kyrptonites.
Wil Aitken, the co-founder of the event, said local suppliers would be key to it being a success.
He said: “Aberdeen city and shire plays host to a number of successful festivals, which is in part thanks to the emergence of local breweries and distillers which have really put the north-east of Scotland on the map.
“We’re thrilled to launch Sessions Festival, and are confident that the event will live up to the success experienced by other events in the region.
“In particular, it’s fantastic that we’re able to support so many local suppliers who are the life blood to Aberdeen’s economy, whilst hosting what is sure to be a fantastic day or night out for visitors.”
Tickets for the event, priced at £20 per person per session, are available online.
