Massed pipe bands, military displays and your chance to show support for members of The Highlanders 4 Scots come together this Sunday, June 29, when Armed Forces Day takes place in Inverness.
A Homecoming Parade, starting at Chapel Street, will march through the city centre from 2pm, taking a route via the Town House, where a VIP salute will be taken, before making its way to the Northern Meeting Park, where it’s due to arrive around 2.45pm.
Park gates open from noon onwards and entertainment there includes military displays, a beer tent, face painting and children’s entertainment and refreshment stalls.
Following the arrival of the parade, there will be a drumhead service and presentations.
Admission to the day is free, but donations are welcome.
