Voted the nation’s best-loved bedtime story by BBC Radio 2 listeners, The Gruffalo, by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, is also a big hit with young Invernessians.
In Culloden Woods, there’s a superb Gruffalo-themed walk, featuring super carvings of some of the book’s characters which youngsters love.
But nothing quite beats seeing a live, musical stage adaptation of the award-winning picture book.
Hit musical The Gruffalo is at the Empire Theatre, Eden Court, from tomorrow until Sunday. Suitable for children aged three and over, accompanied by grown-ups, and bursting with songs, laughs and scary fun, it’s the perfect family treat for the summer holidays.
