Daring pirates and shipmates are invited to join Jim “Lad” Hawkins for a rip-roaring adventure in the grounds of Braemar Castle on Sunday, July 27.
The Walking Theatre Company’s outdoor production of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island will give families the chance to dress up as pirates, bring a picnic and, from 2pm, enjoy face-painting and a pop-up tented sweetie shop. There’s even a chance to create their own treasure map with HandMade’n Braemar.
Castle manager Laura McMeekin said: “Robert Louis Stevenson started to write Treasure Island during a wet summer holiday in Braemar in 1881, so it’s very appropriate to bring the story back to where it began. It’s a brilliant adventure story and everyone will be able to get involved in this outdoor production.”
The Walking Theatre Company’s outdoor production of Treasure Island will be held in the grounds of Braemar Castle on Sunday from 2pm. Family and individual tickets can be reserved by calling 013397 41219.
