Emeli Sande was one of the stand-out artists at True North. All pictures by Wullie Marr/ DC Thomson.
Magic happened when Emeli Sande came home to the north-east to celebrate the music of Aretha Franklin along with Mica Paris.
The Music Hall concert closed out True North and was one of the absolute highlights of the acclaimed festival.
It saw Emeli, Mica, Georgia Cecile and other special guests put their won special twist on classics like Respect, I Say A Little Prayer and You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman.
The audience lapped it up and our P&J photographer was there to capture the atmosphere both during the gig and as fans arrived.
Take a look through our gallery to relive the memories of a fantastic night out and see if you can spot any faces you know.
