Cara Buono – who plays Karen Wheeler in Netflix megahit Stranger Things – is sure to turn Aberdeen Comic Con upside down.
The American actor, who’s known for her role as Dr. Faye Miller in the fourth season of AMC’s Mad Men, also appeared as Kelli Moltisanti in the sixth season of HBO’s The Sopranos.
However, she might currently be most known for playing Mike and Nancy’s mum Karen on Stranger Things.
And Cara isn’t the only Stranger Things star who will be travelling to the Comic Con Scotland (North East) next year. Her co-star Alec Utgoff – who portrayed Russian scientist Dr. Alexei – will also greet his fans up north and maybe even tell them if he loves cherry Slurpees in real life too.
Two Stranger Things stars and three Doctor Whos confirmed for Aberdeen Comic Con
In other comic con news, Doctor Who fans will be delighted to know that three Time Lords have also been confirmed to appear at the celebration of popular culture in the Granite City.
Paul McGann, who portrayed the eighth incarnation of the Doctor, has just joined the line-up which already included the seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy as well as Peter Davison who played the fifth Doctor in the 80s.
All three Doctors travelling to Comic Con Scotland (North East) recently appeared in “The Power of the Doctor” episode – the final adventure of the Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), part of BBC’s 100th-anniversary celebrations.
Mark Boone Jr. (Sons Of Anarchy, Die Hard 2), Dante R. Basco (Lost Boys), Ross Marquand (The Walking Dead, Avengers films), Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead), Arabella Weir (Two Doors Down) and other stars will answer film and TV lovers’ questions too.
Comic Con Scotland (North East) will be back on Saturday March 18 and Sunday March 19 at P&J Live. Tickets can be purchased here.
