Good news for Russell Howard fans… the massively-popular comedian will play two dates in Aberdeen.
Russell is bringing his Live 2023 UK tour to the Music Hall next summer.
And bosses at Aberdeen Performing Arts expect tickets to be in demand for his first tour since 2019.
“Russell Howard is one of the UK’s most beloved comedians and we are thrilled to be welcoming him to the Music Hall for not one but two nights next July,” said Ben Torrie, APA’s director of programming and creative projects.
“Russell’s uplifting and unique brand of comedy will be the perfect summer evening to look forward to.”
Aberdeen dates part of Russell Howard’s fastest-selling tour
The stand-up came to fame on Mock The Week and later went on to present his own show, Russell Howard’s Good News on BBC Three and is now doing The Russell Howard Hour on Sky.
An A-list comedian, his previous tours have seen him sell out arenas around the globe, with his blend of observational humour and social commentary.
He is coming to Aberdeen after adding extra dates after a clamour for tickets made this his fastest-selling tour to date.
Russell sold out 50 shows and shifted more than 120,000 tickets in the opening sale weekend last month.
Russell Howard says Aberdeen shows will be ‘less political and just funny’
In a recent interview, he said wanted to offer fans a break from the news agenda in his latest shows.
“I want to make this tour less sort of political and just funny, just like a bit of respite as it just feels like everything has been turned into a battleground,” he said.
Now the “uplifting comedy king” will be putting the world to rights in his own hilarious way at the Music Hall on July 8 and 9 next year.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 10am on Friday November 11. For information visit aberdeenperformingarts.com
