- KUNG FU PANDA 3
Dragon warrior – panda Po (Jack Black) – is back and this time he is taking on the megalomaniacal yak Kai (voiced by JK Simmons) who has stolen the chi of every kung fu master.
2. THE DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT
It’s the third and final instalment of this young adult series. It comes two years after we were first introduced to this dystopian world which has been divided into factions based on unique personality traits. Shailene Woodley returns as Tris Prior who, along with her allies, find out what lies outside the only world they’ve known.
3. THE WITCH
Scary movie fans are in for a treat this week with The Witch, which stunned crowds at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival for its blend of history and horror.
4. ANOMALISA
Another quirky film from Adaption writer Charlie Kaufman – we expect nothing less. Working with stop animation this time, the film follows motivational self-help book author, Michael Stone, as he flies to Cincinnati to promote his latest tome at a convention.
5. FIFTY SHADES OF BLACK
Fifty Shades of Grey is the latest movie to get the ”
Marlon Wayans” treatment with its own satirical re-make. The likes of Magic Mike, Zero Dark Thirty and Whiplash are also on the receiving end of this comedy roast.
6. THE CHOICE
Following in the footsteps of The Notebook, Dear John and Safe Haven, this latest Nicholas Sparks adaptation promises to have die-hard romantics in a spin with its blend of humour and heartache.
7. THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR
Sarah Wayne Callies, who played Lori in The Walking Dead, stars in this blood-curdling tale of terror from the producer of The Hills Have Eyes.
