For myself, and I suspect a lot of mums of a certain age, it’s hard to think of Tobermory without bringing to mind, Balamory, the hugely popular children’s TV series.
The show made us want to visit the island of Mull and when we did finally get there, it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Everyone knows Tobermory’s vibrant main street and its brightly coloured homes, but as this book shows, there’s much more to the town than that bonnie street.
The book features the works of three local photographers, who have produced a candid collection of pictures reflecting the natural beauty and strong sense of community that underpins everyday life here.
Pics range from beautiful sunsets and dolphins leaping in the harbour to stormy days, aerial shots and the lifeboat at work.
The book will appeal to visitors and locals, but also to those with an interest in rural communities and their way of life.
