The organiser of Aberdeen’s eighth annual Art Fair has hailed the event as a “great success”.
Cultural enthusiasts from across the north-east descended on the Beach Ballroom over the weekend to view and purchase pieces from a wide range of creative talents.
The event, which featured art, sculpture and photography with prices ranging from £50 to £30,000, saw many people flashing the cash while also digging deep for charity.
A fundraising raffle for Charlie House attracted plenty of support, with bosses still totting up exactly how much has been donated to help the region’s sick kids.
Fair organiser Gerry Muldoon said: “With Friday’s preview evening attracting a healthy number of people and reasonable numbers attending over the weekend, the feedback from both exhibitors and those attending has been positive.”
First-time exhibitor Wendy Halliwell said: “Visitors responded well to my work, which is a little bit different, and said how much they enjoyed it.”
Work is already underway on organising AAF 2019.
The fair will be held next September with exact dates to be confirmed in due course.
