David Cameron’s policies come under vitriolic attack
in this latest book by the husband and wife Guardian journalists. Of the two, Polly Toynbee is by now a pensioner, it’s odd that the book keeps sniping at this group, alleging that they are being shielded unfairly from the effects of Government cuts.
Controversially, Polly and her husband aren’t too worried and want the cuts reduced. Some of their criticism of the Government is undoubtedly justified but it would have helped if their book had not been so complex and verbose, and if they had offered credible alternative policies.
