Keith Partridge is one of the world’s leading adventure cameramen and one of most experienced and famous practitioners of a rare trade.
He has worked for the BBC on many of its natural history and expedition series, and has won numerous international awards including a BAFTA for the film Touching The Void and an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography for Human Planet.
His filming has recorded expeditions all over the world in some of its most beautiful and hostile environments, and this book is the story of his life told through many of his hair-raising adventures.
Having spent the past 28 years spent working professionally, these expeditions have ranged from the deep caves of Papua New Guinea to the summit of Mount Everest.
Though the photography speaks for itself, his story is equally exciting, with characters we all recognise from film and television. His activities are not restricted to mountaineering but also include caving and polar travel.

The Adventure Game is a brilliant read as well as a beautiful object.

Keith will be speaking at a free evening event at Waterstones Aberdeen on Wednesday June 24 at 6.30pm. Further details are available from the Aberdeen store on 01224
