The Book of Beasties launched at Waterstones in Perth earlier this month. Written by Scottish author Belle Robertson, the magical book features a collection of stunning sketches and tales of the many native beasties believed to roam our lands, from magical kelpies to ravenous trolls waiting to gobble you up.
The beautifully crafted book, which claims to be the oldest Bestiary of its kind, takes readers on a magical mythological tour visiting myths and legends all over Scotland, through the words of the Great Clan Chief of 1710.
Fusing fantasy and Scottish history, this enchanted book of sketches and stories will appeal to children and adults alike with a universal story-telling appeal. Legendary creatures making an appearance include the Giant of Bennachie, the Unicorn of Stirling Castle and Morag, monster of Loch Morar.
